Kerry Says He Deserves 2nd Chance

This is a great idea if the Democrats want to insure defeat

Methinks that John Kerry is not on your list of favorite congress people. Still you are absolutely right, Kerry is the most fun you can have poking fun at a politician without actually telling lies!

Why is Kerry asking for a second chance? I thought that Bush was the one who cheated.

Whenever I cheat on my partner I always ask for a second chance. But I have to agree with Clinton that oral sex doesn't really count as sex.

I like the one where Kerry goes on and on about a mythical terrorizing of Iraqi women and children in the night, he explains that Americans shouldn't be doing that, he then follows up with the summation that Iraqis should be doing that. WHAAAAA???

A Kerry campaign would insure a Republican win. Of couse, so would Hillary. Something tells me that McCain will run and depending on the VP choice the Republicans might win again. That's why I'm for a Democratic Congress.

John Kerry keeping a low profile this week. He said he wanted to get away and go someplace where no one would expect to see him. So I guess he showed up at his old seat in the Senate. Nobody's going to look for him there

Kerry should be disallowed from ever running again, for the way that he walked away from obvious election fraud in OH. He'd PROMISED that every vote would be counted, yet he walked away, leaving hundreds of thousands of ballots uncounted.

Why is it that republicans are so cruel with regard to people's outward appearance? Considering numerous prominant republicans that I can think of offhand, this practice of ridiculing democrats (and their children) over their personal appearance is really bizarre to me. "Compassionate conservative," "family values" party, indeed.

I agree. Of course I supported him in the last election but since he's proven he's not a fighter or a candidate of strength and integrity. Not saying he doesn't possess those things but there's no power and force behind the things he says he believes in. We need a candidate who'll leave no doubt about what he/she believes in and will get done. Not sure who that is for me yet but I know they're out there! I just need to do my homework.

I think if Kerry runs, he won't get the democratic nomination and if he does, then even us democrats are silly. Kerry has no solid opinion but consistantly flip flops. Democrats need someone who isn't going to say "I'm not Bush" but who is going to say, "This is what's wrong and this is my plan to fix it." Like someone said above, I hope that we all survive the last two years of Bush's reign and come out with a democratic majority this election, and see a democrat elected into the Oval Office in 2008.

Still, if this false rightwing talking point is what it takes to keep Kerry out of the next race, so be it.

Dean, Kerry, Edwards, Kucinich, and Sharpton all did this in the past primary campaign.

He's currently flip flopping. I wouldn't personally be overly thrilled with him either, although he probably could win out. After 8 horrific years of Bush failure, the public would likely welcome a return to the Clinton nostalgia.

Gore can, when he calls upon himself, be a powerful speaker and motivator. In person (had a meeting with him once) he's got charisma, charm -- the works! Why that doesn't always translate when he's on the podium most of the time I don't know. And he did win the office once already. ;>)

John Kerry lost because he could explain on Wednesday what he said on Tuesday.

Lets hope that we have better choices from both parties the next time around.

I certainly believe he deserves another chance or two. But then again I'm a conservative and get no say in that stuff. What I would really like to see is Al Sharpton get the left nod. That would make the most entertaining debates. Kerry is way to smart to be entertaining.

I can take a joke. I just don't happen to think that people's outward physical attributes are qualified as joke material. Some of God's greatest human gifts were born with horrific physical defects, but it doesn't hinder them from showering those around them with the grace of God, nor will it keep them from entering His kingdom. I can't speak for what might happen in the afterlife to those who mock and ridicule them for their physical appearance, however.

The only problem with Kerry is the hatchet job Karl Rove and company pulled is still "fact" in the mind of the brainless. The ones who still believe the Swift Boat Veterans for Revenge were actually telling the truth, etc.

the biggest liabiblity for Kerry is his wife, my advice is too ditch that rich nut and get remarry someone more appealing, I mean it was bad enough his own shortcomings but she really sealed his fate with her speech at the Dem convention, what did Women's rights in the world have to do with voting for Kerry for president. I'm taking a good hard look at Evan Bayh. I grew up under his politics, before I was aware of them. My grandfather vilified him at every opportunity, and my grandmother swore she should've married him instead. (They always made quite the production about going to the polls to cancel each other's vote.) My grandparents were friends of his father, so I guess they had a bit more information than the press is likely to give us. They are both gone now, so I can't ask them. But I have to wonder, if he can polarize those two that deeply, what else is there?

And since I have a secret crush on Edwards, well, I'll just have to look at him harder too. ;)

Kerry was sadly, over before he began. The attack campaigns doomed him before he was properly out of the gate. I had hoped he'd stand strong about it, debunk it and move on. I had hoped for some real opposition to Bush last time around. I hoped and hoped and hoped, but it didn't come. Kerry can't win it. Neither can Hillary. But who can?

I'm with the rest of those calling for a rock solid candidate who is "no nonsense" about what the problems are and EXACTLY what means should be applied to them.

Ireally do hope that Kerry runs again. First, it will mean that Kerry and Clinton will be going at it in the primaries, so they can tear each other apart making whoever come out on top that much weaker. Second, If Kerry does actually become the Democratic nominee, he will ensure a defeat in 2008 for the Dems.

Lion Heart was beaten by Smarty Jones in that year's Kentucky Derby, but Lion Heart isn't whining about "another chance." It is OK, however, for Dean, Pelosi, Reid, and Kennedy to call our President a Hitler, War Criminal, Liar, Stupid, etc. etc. etc.

Consider the Bush record: Thousands of dead Americans, hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, and $.5 trillion in war bucks spent, much of it given to war profiteers. This is the Bush legacy to the world. This is a true harvest of shame. Every single Democrrat who ran would have compiled a better record.

If you're still celebrating Bush's "victory", you might be greedy, a religious fanatic, deluded, or a member of the Burlington liars club. The honest Republicans I know have serious buyer's remorse. Those who are loud and proud should be in therapy.

The current neo-conservative government is unsustainable and is about to collapse from its own corruption. Kerry is old news. Russ Feingold is a much better representative of the new progressive Democrats.

I have to revisit this whole florida thing. The county in question was/is run by Democrats. They okayed the voting forms, in an attempt to make it easier for the senior population to read the thing and vote. Somewhere along the line we get a bunch of these geezers coming out complianing about the voting method, gee that's a new one an old ladies complaining whether its warranted or not.
Major newspapers even went to Florida after the fact to do their own counts and it came out the same , Dubya won. To insist otherwise is a case of denial.

Reading Racing Forum has its merits but you might want to expand your political grazing beyond Fox and Rush. The GOP's silks will be the ones covered in dust at the end of the races this November. Clark - I take offense to you even suggesting I'm right-wing. In fact, I'm extremely liberal however I just didn't like Kerry. I didn't think he had anything solid to say besides that he isn't Bush. No kidding but what's your plan? I voted for him anyway in hopes that Bush would get out of office but just because I voted democrat in the last election, and will vote democrat in the upcoming elections, doesn't mean that I like the candidates. Like with Kerry, sometimes I am picking the lessor of two evils.
