Just a brief notice about an article of interest to those who do and don't believe in Global Warming and climate change caused by man:
"Scientists have produced further compelling evidence showing that modern-day climate change is not caused by changes in the Sun's activity…" from an article by Richard Black, Environment correspondent, BBC News website. "The research contradicts a favoured theory of climate "sceptics", that changes in cosmic rays coming to Earth determine cloudiness and temperature."

Interesting though, thanks.
As another measure of how much data we have, the data on changing the length of the freeze/thaw cycle for ponds and lakes in winter, in the Upper Midwestern US, goes back 100 years, using everything from Church records to newspapers to personal diaries.

"Dr Svensmark himself was unimpressed by the findings.
'Terry Sloan has simply failed to understand how cosmic rays work on clouds,' he told BBC News. "
IPCC is pretty clear about it:
"The observed widespread warming of the atmosphere and ocean,
together with ice mass loss, support the conclusion that it is extremely
unlikely that global climate change of the past 50 years can
be explained without external forcing and very likely that it is not
due to known natural causes alone. During this period, the sum of
solar and volcanic forcings would likely have produced cooling,
not warming." (Emphasis in original)

Ed, not for long!
