Your digital photo could be featured on our website or in The Nature Conservancy's 2008 calendar!
The Conservancy invites you to enter your stunning nature images in our first-ever digital photography competition.
We're looking for beautiful nature photography representing the diversity of life on Earth. Your own original digital images of our lands, waters, plants, animals and people in nature are all eligible for the competition.
How to Enter
Images can be submitted to one of two categories: Best Nature Photo or Best Photo from a Conservancy Preserve.
To enter one or more images, upload your photo(s) to the Conservancy's free public group on Flickr and tag them for the appropriate category. Or, if you prefer, you can complete our online form and email each photo, one at a time.
The Conservancy's preserves offer unparalleled natural beauty and photographic opportunities. Find Nature Conservancy preserves near you or near your next vacation destination!
The Prizes
Twenty photos will be selected as finalists, 10 for each category. Each category will have one grand prize winner:
- The Best Nature Photo category winner's image will be featured on The Nature Conservancy's website, nature.org, which is visited by more than 3 million people annually.
- The Best Photo from a Conservancy Preserve category winner's image will be printed in the 2008 Nature Conservancy calendar. The calendar goes to our nearly 1 million members as well as prospective members.
The competition is open to amateur photographers age 18 or older who are residents of the United States. Photo submissions must be uploaded by 11:59pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Sunday, December 31, 2006.

Just so you all know, you don't have to be a member of Flickr in order to enter this contest. You can also just go directly to the Nature Conservancy website and enter it there.
