Any other jewelry makers out there?

New members are welcome to join my group, Beaders Anonymous. I started it because I discovered that I was friends with few other jewelry makers here and didn't even know it! It's a place to discuss experiences & techniques and to show off your stuff. There isn't much content yet, but I hope to add more later.

Anyone who makes jewelry is invited to post photos of their work, and anyone who doesn't but would like to learn about jewelrymaking or see others' art is welcome!

Kathryn, I don't know how to send you a link in a comment, but could you mention Gather Library here?

We need to get 100 members, at which point we've proven there's support for donation of Gather Points to libraries. (The group's name might change at some point.)

We don't have a lot of content yet, but I hope anyone with a story about books/reading or a review or memory of a book would share that article at Gather Library. We have members of that group who are real-live librarians and I know they'd enjoy reading such articles.

Gerry, that is a very good question. Tom Gerace stated a few weeks ago that there were 25,000 registered members. I assume that may or may not be about 30,000 by now. Or not. There is an advertising promotion on now, but I haven't seen any of it.....When the New Gather arrived, it seems the views changed from "total hits" to "unique views" or something like that.

The total views per day per person were higher, and so were the weekly and monthly totals.

There may be about 200 articles published per day, or therabouts. I took count for a few days - 600 per day the first day after the upgrade, 200 the next 3 days....

I get about 3,000 emails a day in outside email box. That gives an indication of how many people are publishing and commenting and connecting.

I do know that when there were 10,000 registered members, back in January that the actual number of 'active' members seemed fairly small, too.

I think that the number of people who are 'very' active at any one time is a lot smaller than the total number of people who publish and comment a bit - but perhaps they are not included on the most active lists, which only go up to the most viewed - per 100 or most commented - per 100...

Still, it is very difficult to know.

Lisa, I went into the group to check the username. I repasted the link. It now works from the link in the article. I didn't see anything wrong with what I had copied from Zenith's link before, and don't see anything different, but it DOES work now. If you still have trouble, you can get to the group by clicking on the Down Home Cooking link in the Groups that this is published to.
