Alot of you know we lost our geese to Coyotes a few weeks ago. They usually come around almost everynight because Kip will go crazy outside barking. My dad has seen them during the daytime once before but thats pretty rare for them to do. This mourning I heard the dog barking and looked out the window to see these guys. They were eyeing the animals so they must be pretty hungry to do this is broad daylight.
I took this from my bedroom window. They were pretty far away so I croped this.

Kip keepnig an eye on them. You can see them up top.

It was pretty funny because all the goats and the Llama's came out to see what was going on.

My mother told me that llamas are actually supposed to help keep the coyotes away, and that so are donkeys. Some people use them to protect their sheep.
But I guess you have to have them in the same area as the animals you want to protect or it doesn't do any good.
My first apartment was built onto the back of a house in the foothills of SE PA 'mountains'. (They're hills, really.) I used to have a bobcat that would come around and peek in the windows.
Wow Landen really? I would have been scared LOL
Sherrir Great Pyrenees actually use their size first to scare off the coyotes before they will take any real action! Which is a good thing. Ive heard stories of Great Pyrenees only Killing a coyote if they really have to. But we will be getting a female this spring so they will be working together.
I dont feel comfortable leaving sam to do all the work. That could be dangerous for him if there is ever a big pack of Coyotes. He wuoldnt be able to fend them all of on his own.
Thank you.
Thanks Darrell!
My friend not too far away, is having to be out several times a day and night because of the wolves. Her Welsh horse is expecting to drop any time now so she will not take any chance. Apparently, they have a deer run just behind the farm, so the wolves are just howling every night so far.
They produce a weird howl, but it is magnifecent.............as long as they stay away from the house and farm is just fine with her.
Great photos of all of the animals.............Hopefully they will stay their distance. Take care ................. thx for sharing........................ :O)
Wow Pat where does she live? It would be awesome to hear a wolf. I would be very scared though because you would think A wolf could come after people unlike a coyote!
