This is my first post on gather so be merciful.....
Recently I was diagnosed with diabetes. As some of you know, that involves a major diet change. I came up with a quick and easy dessert that has no fat, very little suger and takes less than 5 minutes to make. Estimated calories are 20-30 per serving.
You need:
A pint or quart of fresh strawberries
A can of light whipped topping (the kind in the can)
One fat-free/sugar free angel food cake that you can find in the grocery store
1. Get the green stuff off the strawberries and slice into bite-sized peices
2. Break the cake into about 1 inch pieces
3. Put the cake pieces in a pan
4. Scatter the sliced strawberries on top of cake pieces
5. Squirt the whipped creme all over the concoction just before serving
At our last family gathering my dessert was all consumed and the chocolate cake wasn't.
