Between 1995 and 2001, I took many pictures on the Sunday rides my wife and took (and still take) in rural Ohio. All these images were taken within a hundered mile radius of Cincinnati. They are all 35mm, the film speeds vary. All pictures are copyrighted.

Thanks, I try to spread out the covered bridge shots, I want to make them last as long as possible. As for the last picture, it was so neat to see that door about three feet from the ground. All traces of the steps that once were below them were long gone.
I agree, God must be an underground utilities kind of guy (or gal).
Isn't it amazing how much pride we take in maintaining our homes, yet we are attracted to and find comfort in buildings that have all but fallen down.
Green Acres we are here !
Everybody loves the door. I have to say, it was a classic " I don't know if I should use this picture " moment when it came to deciding whether or not to include the door picture.
But, there was something about that picture that I can't quite describe that made it feel right for this volume. Glad I trusted my gut.
I guess I'm going to have to get on "keeping-up" shoes and start posting some of my "Ohio/Kentucky" pics. Damn - You made me homesick for the midwest, Amigo.
In the spring and summer there ain't no place better.
Every place has its "moment in time".
If you mean pictures of barns that are arty, I got 'em.
Thanks, I'll see if we can work out a swap.
Thanks, who says you can never go home ?
Thank you, it's big fun doing this series.
I had to repost this one George, I loath the typing mistakes that slip through in my comments. You can't edit, so you've got to delete and repost.
There is a way to edit comments. If you make a mistake on a comment after you publish it,refresh the page. Then, copy the comment with the mistake in it and paste it into the "Post a comment" box. After you fix your mistake, post the new version of the comment. Then delete the the original comment that had the mistake in it.
I discovered this only recently, and it works really well.
PS: The door wins the, well, door prize !
Thanks. Everyone adores the door !
Not to worry; many many pictures to go.
