is it something that calls to us, repeatedly through the ages?
is it a restful thing, something to soothe the soul?

can it be personal, or is it always something of the Other?
to me, timelessness can be something that lasts - like mona lisa's smile, or the symmetry of the parthenon.
it can be something that ebbs away, like waves constantly beating the shore.

timelessness can be a tree trunk, slowly going back to the earth.

timelessness can be a child's laugh, ringing joy throughout the room.
it can be love, enduring past hardship and fractures.
timelessness can be an act...feeding your family, meal after meal.
it can be the slight flooding of spring, as snow melts and life reawakens.

timelessness can be the citizens of nature, lives cycling again and again.

timelessness can be the sunset, believing it an act of faith on your part, that it will happen again and again.
timelessness is the snuggling of your child in your arms, on your shoulder, whispering "i love you, mama."
timelessness needs no direction, it just exists...for us to see, or not. appreciate it, or not.

how do you open your eyes to timelessness?
