I think I'll start a log

I can then carry it with me
then I won’t lose stuff I write
it’s like a notebook
it’s paper

For in the computer, I need to name things
and store these little things
and to lose these where I put these little things

If a log on paper
I can’t forget where I put them

I need not name them
they just occupy space in my mind for a while

but in a log they also occupy space

unforgettable space, for there they are
always there in the space in the log
just where I put them

Therefore, always, I can see how bad they are

I have a pen in a pen holder in my
bedroom
it’s been there for a decade or so

unused it has been all these years

The other pens I use are by my computer,
as that’s also where my checkbook’s at

That’s a different log with different pens

I’ll use the unused pen for my log
that pen will fit well in my log

I’ll use that in my log
