This morning, VP Dick Cheney is undergoing minor surgery to replace the battery in his cardioverter defibrillator.
This is a device that "jump starts" the old guy when his heart misses a beat.
Cheney has had a long history of heart problems, first and foremost, not having one, as one can judge by his record.
There will be no passing of power (as there was last week when President Bush had a camera shoved up his weaselly llittle arse) while he is under the knife, as only a local anesthetic will be used.
What comes to mind, is "Bruno", played by Randy Quaid, Pluto Nash's faithful, although outdated robot bodyguard, in "The Adventures of Pluto Nash".
I always knew something was not right with the man, now it is evident. He is a robot, programmed by Haliburton.
