2008: What do you think will happen?

I hope a move back to Minnesota, and that would mean a nice, new job as well!

I have no idea what 2008 is going to bring, but I sure hope it is something good.

Will be smoke free and also have a new job.

I am hoping for some financial stability in 2008, just not quite sure how to make that happen yet though!! Happy New Year to you and your family!!

I just hope 2008 is a better year -- 2007 was not very good overall! Better finances would be a big help!

in my life for 2008 i will start out having a baby...as if you couldnt tell...lol and hopefully will buy our first home and move out of this little apartment

We are hoping to adopt another baby.
I have a son who will be 17 and a high school senior both in September & our sweet baby James will be 3 in October and starting pre-school, already!
I'll be 40!!! (let's not talk about it). Hubby 43.
Hubby will have a promotion right after the new year.
We are planning to visit Chicago in April & Quebec in September.

In the WORLD, I am afraid in the United States we will lose God's name in public, more and more. Following that there will be more security laws and lose of privacy and freedoms.

In 2008

*Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama will be elected in November as voters move to elect the first women/black ticket in history. This story line will drive most of the election coverage and make it virtually impossible for McCain-Huckabee to gain any traction (not that they would anyway, that ticket stinks!)

*Pakistan will disintegrate into a civil war.

*Pope Benedict will die of natural causes to be replaced by an American Pope; Cardinal William Levada, who is currently the head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith.

*A Major European head-of-state will be assasinated by Muslim extremists.

*US will suffer a major terrorist attack on US soil; this attack will be land-based with major loss of life.

*US economy will go into recession over continued fiscal irresponsibility in Washington.

*Despite appearances to the contrary, President (Hillary)Clinton will not announce any major draw-down of troops in Iraq or Afghanistan.

*Global warming will continue to be de-bunked by scientists.

*George H.W. Bush will die of natural causes.

*Ford becomes unviable as a major US auto maker due to ridiculous obligations made to people who no longer work for the company. They will either be bought-merged with another domestic auto-maker, or a foreign one.

*Pandemic flu outbreak.

*Arab unrest in France flares anew; Sarkozy will declare martial law in Paris.

I don't know what will happen around the world.

My husband will get a promotion at some point, though. :) He made staff sergeant when he tested, he just has to wait until it's his turn to sew his stripe on. He will be one of the last ones to do it, though, since he made it on his first try, and it's mostly based on how long you've been in.

We're also hoping to get pregnant again toward the middle of the year.

We want to adopt another dog within the next couple of months as well.

I am afraid world issues are only going to worsen!!!

I try to live my life one day at a time, I try not to have major expectations, but to deal with life as it happens.... .my family is the most important thing to me (my son, my daughter, my little chihuahua) and trying to stay healthy so that I can continue to work and be financially responsible. I wish good things for YOU and each of you.

We are hoping for a pregnancy or a baby by the end of 2008!
