Mondays hit me like a ton of bricks. I stretch my Sundays about as far as a day can go. It's 10:54 and I've one hour to finish enjoying the sacred moments of the weekend. It was most enjoyable. Friday, we had our King Crab, corn, potatoes and onions boil. It's our party to ourselves. Saturday, we kicked way back. I read and the husband did taxes. Sunday, we finished doing our concrete pouring and then went to a dinner. It was a creative mix of photographers, writers, editors and readers. The common theme - most of us were from Louisiana. Now, I'm home and thinking about how to begin my week. It's always a challenge. What are your plans for the week ahead? Are you a Monday person or do Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get You Down. I hope you have a good one. Thank you. Salud.

The only day I really have any plans are for the 19th. Got to take care of some business. It shouldn't take too long though. Tomorrow if I feel up to it, I'd like to finish setting up my computer. I need to move things around and set the speakers and printer.
I hope your week goes well.
I've this kind of sad lost feeling on Sunday nights. as if there's something God wanted me to do and i didn't. I can never pin point what it is.
Modays I wake up bright and early and ready for the hustle and bustle of a new week. I always have the feeling that something wonderful will happen.
we don't lose power.
I have to help someone move today. I generally work weekends, so Mondays are often times to recuperate (that is, if I'm not working) but rainy days and Mondays always do get me down! I have the heating pad in the micro right now!
I love Mondays, as they're one of my real days off. The whole day stretches in front of me to do anything I want - usually read, if it's winter.
And, as a child of the Cape ( that would be Cape Cod, in Massachusetts), I love rainy , blustery days, although they make me sleepy....
do yu mind if i love to you?
Monday, c'est arrive! So far so good. The wind is gone, the suns is out and gold is $690/oz; could life be much better?
Cheers,
Colonel Possum
I am worried about you folks out there who are not feeling well. If I can help in any way, let me know either privately or in this comment thread. So many things can cause problems. Many times our emotions will cause our physical bodies to show symptoms. If you are angry, your liver will tell you in many ways. If you're bitter or resentful, you'll get pains in the upper quadrant of your right side ie Gall Bladder. Of course, there's so much more to this - each cell is like a Truckstop where our thoughts meet and converse with our physical body - I can get deep but you get the gist. Mind, Body, Spirit - it all goes together. Don't cover up your symptoms with generic drugs - get to the root of the problem. Ok, enough on that - you know who you are and if I can help you, get in touch with me. I send healing thoughts to all of you right now! Feel bliss just for a second! Ok, I'll be back to address each of you fabulous folks! Thank you so very much. Salud.

Ok, putting on my intuition chapeaux. I think Fred that you were born on a Monday. Yes, and your mother was a bit worried as the time approached late on Sunday night. Sometimes we can feel those emotions. I know because I was born on Monday and I am always thrilled with the expectations. It's as if I'll wake up and find a new red convertible mustang in my driveway with a note - The Universe thought you deserved this for saving so many critters...lol...ok well, you never know what might happen - might as well think good things! Thanks Fred - didn't mean to go off on a tyrant.
Hi Mariana,
Good question! Mondays are no different to me than all the other days of the week.
My husband and I are both retired and we often don't know which day it is..lol.
I always know whether it is a Sunday though, we would get ready for Church first thing in the morning. This Monday I started the day all very excited because I am flying out to visit my mum and brothers in Germany. So many things to think of, leaving Graeme and the dogs behind.
Rainy days do make me sad, but I also love to walk in the rain. Reminds me of my childhood in Germany.
Love, Marianne
Marianne - when are you leaving - this is very good and exciting news and I hope you can do a photo essay to share with us. Give your family a great big hello from me - have a blast. I know you are happy to go back home! Salud.
elizabeth, Laurun and Miz Debbie H. Oh dear girls - I worry about each of you out there - oh Debbie especially you working on a boat out there. Just thinking about The Perfect Storm and all the drama out there on the water makes my heart thump out loud. That movie was filmed using some pretty good effects - all real, for the most part. So, be careful and know I'm sending you sunshine so jump in the light and stay warm and hang on. Make them make you some decent coffee. I have to send you some good Mello Joy coffee from Louisiana - it's the best!
Bob, girl, report back to us on the Boston Marathon. I want to hear the whole nine yards - take pictures if you can.
Laurun, I hope you don't lose power or trees. I've been through all this during hurricanes but it was nice and hot at the time and the air was filled with dramatic tension...Yall be careful - all you Back East folks.
Oh you too Miz Krista - aren't you up there as well...not as far North, I suppose but still in the middle of Winter - oh dear - my bones are cold now. Thank yall - now let me go visit a few of you! Salud.
As for today, so far I'm leisurely here at my computer, but then it's packing again. We're off to Ridgecrest tomorrow afternoon to surprise my friend who owns the ghosttown. He's speaking at the historical society there so we thought we'd crash his lecture and take him to dinner, maybe. We'll be spending Tuesday night in Ridgecrest so we can get up early and head to a meeting of The Friends of Jawbone Wednesday morning. If it's not too windy out there, after the meeting we might head back out to Bonanza Gulch and contemplate the story of Charlie Hatfield the rainmaker again.
The weekend storm only brought wind and clouds here at my house, so it looks like I'm going to have to spend some time watering my garden today too.
Tomorrow I am taking my mother-in-law to hospital for a cataract operation, so I may not come into work, or I may come in for half a day. We'll see how tired I am.
Salut!
Plans for the week will be hinging on temperatures. We haven't been blessed with warmth in this neck of the woods, yet. I want to take a few walks and take a few pictures. Maybe a photo essay. Definitely do some writing. I want to republish an important article from my early days here. I want to be near the computer to read the comments.
I'd like to spend some money from the plethora of catalogs that land in our mailbox on a daily basis.
I'd really like to give the dog a bath.
Must say I saw a horrible, exciting film, "The Day After Tomorrow" last night...the Big Freeze in New York...tornadoes destroying LA...during commercials, i would go out on the porch and watch the rain pelt down and limbs on trees fly across the yard...and I started to think, "What if?" Anyhow, slept like a baby...no nightmares.
Bob I'm excited about you meeting up with Lauren and I want the whole scoop! You are all over the map - I love your energy...you're really only about 28. You know that I go by how much energy a person has instead of chronological years! Well, yall have a blast - tell her hello - she's another one of my favorites - she is a good commenter! Thanks for dropping in Bob - it's always a treat! Salud.
Please help me get motivated to try wood carving. It was fun when I was doing it with the person who was teaching me, but at home? fizzle....it did not even get out of my caboodle box.
Cake and icecream later, and the rest of the week will happen as it does :)
Wow I have a grandchild that is now 13. A teenager, my oh my!
But I'm awful proud to have him!
Madame Mozeeee
nope mondays dont get me down. may be a little further behind but full charging ahead just the same. some how i've gotten myself swamped in projects again, not to mention the photos and ideas that are chomping at the bit from my recent Kauai trip. yikes. and double yikes. and as i mentioned elsewhere i've recently discovered glamourbombing - something i want to explore although i'm sure it'll be my own version of glamourbombing - ah, ah-ha and awe as well as amazement moments i hope.
Mondays are fresh new starts for me to dive into continuing projects and new ideas. wowie zowie stuff is growing fast too. so i'm trying to take more time off on weekends for yard and other house stuff as well. back about the beginning of Apr. i did another HCD and posted it to the Day's Worth Blog here:
http://burpingbabies.blogspot.com/
i'm mentioning that because i've been planting the stuff i bought on that day which got a couple of panels and i've mowed the lawn a second time since the mowing in one of those panels too.
it sounds like your Spring is just as full and on fast tracking overload as well - so have fun. aloha - Wrick.
Madame Mo-Ze - Bob is 28 - who is Bob...I didn't know they could last that long - lol.
I'm half asleep here and am rushing like a fool as I've got to get outta here in a few.
Good to see you though Mozeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - glad you're feeling better.

WRick - I want to hear the details of glamourbombing...and it's good to see you again. I miss you. Salud.
Have not been sleeping well; my cats want attention during the night. When I get home at midnight, I check gather for a while and then get to sleep about 1:30 AM. Have to get about about 6:45 AM to go get my grandkids ready for school and then bring the 4 yr old home with me.
If I make it through Thursday night, I will have a week off. The first couple days, I just collapse. During my 5 day stretch, nothing much gets done. I work as an RN in a hospital where they are making cutbacks to save money, so frequently we are short staffed. All in all, I am not happy or rested right now!
Hi Briane, I love Thursdays - it's my favorite day of the week!
Miz Jessie - you must be excited about summer coming so you can get out on that lake and kayak!!!
Miz Vicky I am sorry to hear you had a bad day at the dentist - I am late replying to you. Sending you thoughts now! Michelle, nice to see you thanks so much. I now have to go visit folks at their sites...more later. Salud.
I love this - Yes indeed lets have 365 Saturdays! love it - thanks Miz Penny G. Salud.
Well, it is 10 AM on Tuesday morning, so I am a bit behind on this. I am like Ina; if I have worked, I am exhausted and Monday is not so good. I am in the middle of my work stretch and it has not been good. This is my 5th evening in a row that I have to work, then have one day off and am on call for Thursday.

I am so sorry I didn't comment on this - or maybe didn't see it! Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope today Thursday - you are feeling better...I know I miss you when I don't see you and I know your babies miss you too! Salud.
