Many folks do not worship the sun. I do. Lady Moon is my gracious teacher after that solar orb falls into the sea. However, while it shines, I thrive on its light. When the day is bleak with a marine layer fog, I walk up the hill. My ocean forays happen only when the glint off the waves is blinding. I don't like to wear shoes or wraps of any kind. I do take a bag for the waiting treasures. When the sun shines, not only do I allow the cold sea to lap my sandy legs but I allow it to wash away the sad minutiae camped in my head. Today I have to change my tune and walk up the hill again. Time is limited and I have work to do. The good news is that I have gone wireless and I can work on my computer outside! This appeals to me greatly. There are some folks who don't like to go outside no matter what the weather is like. They talk about bugs or allergies. These things are so foreign to me. Are you a sun worshipper? Do you prefer to live in an area where raindrops inspire you? Do you think you'd be happier if you lived where the weather was always warm? I could easily live on an island in the Caribbean, in a tiny house, wearing soft old clothes, if any, and enjoy sea and the sun. That would be an ideal life for me. I hope the sun shines for you today! Salud.

The sun is shining beautifully here in eastern Washington but it is chilly out. It was 31 when I left this morning at 7 AM. It was up to 39 at 10 AM. I would absolutely love to live in a warm climate where I didn't have to be freezing for half of the year.
I very seldom wear formal clothes.
What the sunshine does for us here is give us, generally speaking, happy natures and a readiness to laugh.
What we didn't do with those mangoes! Mango milk shakes, mango drinks, mango salads, mango on barbeque... You imagine it, we did it with mangoes. Beautiful, fresh, juicy, sweet mangoes. Ah well...
Puerto Rico: three or four houses from the beach, walked there every day, sold wire sculptures made from construction wire and scraps on the beach in front of the hoels populated by gullible US tourists from Podunk and Peoria. Loved it! That was truly tropical living! Absolutely no seasons! Warm all year round, wet part of the year, with massive deluges, but so what!
Now in a seasonal climate again, and I love it! Winter with its white ethereal beauty, spring with its promise of a bountiful summer, autumn to enjoy that bounty and then back to winter to wait fro spring again.
I enjoy life and living wherever I am.
I'm happy with the cloudy days because they make the sunny ones feel so much better.
Tony the chef is the kind of guy who'd like that too by the way:

I love hot, sunny days...I love walking the beach at dawn....I love the feel of cold water splashing at my legs...but oh, do I hate it when it reaches my nipples...
I should go back to the lyrics to my new song for you, Sunshine Girl!
The thought of sunshine brings to mind the old John Denver song...also...one I often sing when puttering in the garden....
"Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy!" just as he says!
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darlin' it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin' it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
I bet the sun always warms your soul even when it is cloudy outside!
Cheers,
Colonel Possum
Miz Bob, You're a trip! Thanks for stopping by for a cool dip!
Tonia, I sense your day wasnt as bright as it could have been? Thanks for visiting!
Debbie, my friend, so nice to see you as you are sunshine to me!
Miz Dorothy, I'm a tropical flower, I can enjoy the beauties of the cold but it's not a place I could live - I would only be hanging on the vine waiting for the summer so I could begin living again! Salud.
