This, I could feel. It felt like an old woooden ship with the waves washing up against it, and a rocking-in-the-wind feeling, with a grey-cloud moving sky. And there was a "home" vibe to it.

For some reason this made me think of a man with his wife in the delivery room. Something about the fact that he is there for her, but that is all he can do to ease her pain is just be there.

Well written piece! Brings different images to mind. I thought of a parent and his/her kid. Then there's the husband-wife image. Also is the buddy-buddy image, whoever the buddy is... Most importantly, it brings to mind how God relates to me. Very good work Steve!

I believe that your writing style has some very emotional pull to it. I appreciate that, because in our world -- the world that is full of fear, anger, jealousy and such, it is wonderful to realize we are all just human. From time to time in our life we all feel deeply over someone or something. I can't wait for more.

It's a touching poem. I think its very sweet and very good but maybe it would sound more like a flowing stream if the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs were also rhyming. But if it is meant to be I do like your style. Its unique and interesting :D
