Some of you will remember the article I wrote about the neighbor lady who insisted she would feed my dog whether or not I gave permission. Well, we had a heart to heart talk about Meeko and she's agreed not to feed him without asking. Yesterday, she knocked on the door and gave my husband some bones she wanted Meeko to have. We didn't give them to him, but thanked her for asking permission. Seems this has been worked out.
I wrote an article a week or so ago, maybe a little longer, about a woman who stripped down to her panties and walked around the neighborhood. The police tried to find her, but never did. She disappeared for a while, but she is once again camping in the woods in the park across the street. She did have to go to the hospital and the local dog shelter did take care of her dog, though they told me it wasn't there. She is back on her meds and is doing okay. She told me that she has bipolar disorder and doesn't remember anything about that incident. The Salvation Army is going to help her find a place to stay and help her get set up in an apartment. Wonderful. So two happy endings here.

Hannah, Is all the rest of them crazy except for you and me? LOL
Donna, Thanks for dropping in. Hannah's a hoot, isn't she? I love her sense of humor.
Wilehelmine, I'm hoping that the Salvation Army has found her an apartment by the time winter sets in. It will probably take them a couple of months. I'm going to keep in touch with her, if possible. Now that I know her problem, I will be quick to get her help if there's a next time.
Pam, Thank you so much for caring. I will go to bat for her and try to be certain she has a place to go before fall comes. There are agencies that need to shell out some money to assure she is safe and has proper medical care.
L.
I just don't understand people who feed other people's pets "whether they approve or not." When I was little our neighbour gave our dog a hambone, and she almost died. People need to BUTT OUT! Glad things worked out.
