Tears
He stands on the bank of the river,
As the current eddies near to the shore.
The water ebbs, causing droplets to sparkle,
Like the tears that have recently flowed.
Reality
He stands on the bank of the river,

The scene unfolds in the water,
And he knows there will definitely be more.
Always before it's been fiction,
But a shiver creeps over his spine.
His hair stands on end at his collar,
He knows it's not fiction this time.
