WOW....Next week will be my 10th(11th the following week) trip on Amtrak Autotrain!

Amtrak....look out...here we come again! and I am bringing my sister this time!

Next Thursday I am boarding the Autotrain back down to Florida- for more legal and cleanup at my dad's house. I love riding on this train, it is fun for me. I do hate the part where I don't sleep but love all the rest. I also wish that this train had a second boarding in either NY or NJ. It really should consider going a little further north than the Lorton VA station. It could be done , the tracks are there.

I booked us two Roomettes going and coming. We are both older people with difficulties. So either one of us even attempting to lay on the top bunk would be something of extreme amusement.

I have gotten real good at getting undressed and taking a shower while going over bumps. The first time was a hysterical scene...now I am good!

I have also gotten real good at manuvering thru the narrow hallways being tossed around like a ping-pong ball..laughing. I can even carry things! hint...sneakers help!

I am getting to be a pro now. LOL..people have asked me things on prior trips while waiting in the lobby!

I should be a Amtrak Autotrain spokesperson. Now I have many people seriously considering it as a viable option for their travel plans for Florida. My youngest daughter is talking about her post high school ride down to Florida in 2 years...on Amtrak. My Father-in-law is remembering the best sleep he had on the Pullman's and is thinking that this could be a nice way down to see his sister and to alleviate some of the driving. In two different sets of paranormal investigator friends both have expressed interest. Of course ...this would be the paranormal party train! LOL...we could book all of the roomettes in one car!This would be hilarious. Well I am working on it!
