St. Pete Beach in Florida has it's own flavor, like all the beaches in the Tampa Bay Area.
A great place for your next family vacation and
if you are into water sports or para-sailing.

Ready for a little ride on the waves?

How about parasailing and waverunners?

We decided to have dinner at the beach
out on the deck of a restaurant
called Crabby Bill's.

Don't Worry - Be Crabby and Been there - Drank that
are their T-shirt and onesies logos.
Crabby Bill himself:)

After dinner we took the boardwalk out to the beach.

Parasailing is always a popular sport.

Waterslides for the kids and
every type of fun, colorful watersport rentals
for the entire family that you could wish for.

The sunshine was blinding and the water glistened in the sun.

A glance at the Holiday Inn with
it's revolving top floor restaurant and
interesting architecture.
A beach wedding in progress.

Seems turquoise was the color of choice.

A quiet corner of the beach now that
the rental gear is all packed away.
A perfect summer day at St. Pete Beach in Florida!

Vacation memories!

The last parasail nearing the coast.
A threesome.

St. Pete Beach is a real tourist haven all year around, but if you want to avoid the worst of the heat,
come visit us in April, May and June.

Collect Seashells to remember your trip forever.

Oh, and one more insider tip:
The best place to watch the sunset is from the top deck of
the Hurricane Restaurant.
Psssst, they also have some of the best drinks in town,
make mine a Margarita!
The sandy white beaches are dotted with hotels, but none are finer than the historic Don Cesar resort and hotel, dubbed Pink Palace by the locals.
My tip - check out the Don Cesar here -
If you happen to be in the area on a Sunday I highly recommend their brunch - it is to die for.
Then stroll downstairs
for a drink at their outdoor bar or a walk on the beach.

The Don, as it is often called, is a landmark hotel, built right before the depression in the late 1920s, located on one of the finest beaches in our area, St. Pete Beach. website: www.doncesar.com

It's 110+ here in Chandler, AZ and the thought of sitting on a beach with a breeze (even a hot humid one) sounds divine. Thanks for such a lovely journey!
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
a lovely luncheon. had a condo for many years at treasure island and went parasailing from there..... the Winch Broke!! i was flying around, and around, and around, for almost an hour before they could get me in. The first 20 minutes werre great, the last 30, not so.
My aunt lives in Tampa. Maybe you saw her there. She's 94 and I believe was looking for her contact lenses. Probably was wearing a swimming suit much like yours. I guess all women dress the same on beaches in St. Pete.
Congrats on being one of the current Gather Picks!
I've been to a wedding at the Don and I love Crabby Bill's. Can't believe how much he has expanded since the first one on Indian Rocks Beach.
