Better late than never right? I was told to post my review's by the end of April. With all of the travel I have to do...I just didn't have enough time to get it done by then. I won this cool gift through a gather contest.
I am happy to say that the book is finished & ordered as of yesterday! Most likely it will arrive while I am on my next trip, so the final review will come after I return home again.
Here is the website: http://inkubook.com/default.aspx
My book was to be my travel pictures. Going back just a few years....there were so many great pictures!
The downside was that my laptop seemed to take forever to upload pictures and would stall if I tried to do a large amount at once....like 20. So I had a few false starts with making the album.
The site does have a ton of options available though. Different photo layouts, many, many colored pages, even pages that were theme orientated, like leaves for fall, baby prints, travel one ( I didn't use any of those)...choices were abundant!
You can also change fonts, font size, font color..etc. So you really can personalize it...similar to a scrapbook you would make at home.
The site also alerts you if they beleive the photo is going to distort at the size chosen. It did that with a few of mine...and in looking at them in the preview mode, I thought they would be fine, so we will see when I receive it.
A person can also invite other people to contribute. I assume they can add pictures & do all that the editor can do.
Here are the sizes the books come in currently:
Photo Book Formats and Pricing
Inkubooks are currently available in three popular, classic sizes, and more will be added in the future. Current styles are
- The Simple Square: 8.5" x 8.5"
- The Ultimate Portrait: 8.5" x 11"
- The Classic Landscape: 11" x 8.5"
- The Great Big Square: 11" x 11"
Then pricing is according to amount of pages added into your book. The book I chose was The Great Big Square & I think I ended with 69 pages, but a book can hold up to 120 pages. I would have liked to keep adding more...but I figured I needed to be done & get it ordered before I take any more time on it!
So if you are interested in having a nice scrapbook, without taking months & months to make one & have the time & creativity to put it all together...consider www.inkubook.com The books are fairly fast to make, options are easy to add & they look nice online!
I will post a review on the final product once I receive it!

That sounds like a cool site with an interesting product!
this does sound like a great product
Thanks for the review. It sounds interesting. I haven't done real scrapbooking in a few years.
sounds like a great site. I'll have to check it out.
I bookmarked the site I want to check it out later. The prices look reasonable
This would probably be the only way I would ever scrapbook, lol. Thanks for the reveiw.
I think Kimberly told me about these.
I hope you like it, and I can't wait to see your review.
Congrats, Priscilla - hope it's beautiful when it arrives. Wow - somehow I missed this contest altogether.
I'll be interested to find out how pleased you are with the final results. I'm doing a photo book actually two and possibly three at another site right now, but there will be more in the future.
What a great prize to win Priscilla. I am also looking forward to hearing about the final results.
cool
What a great prize and a fun project!
I've still go on there and do one for my mom. It was gonna be her mothers day present but you see how that has gone. LOL
I've never heard about this before. I may have to go on there.
This is a pretty neat site. I have pondered the thought of trying to make a few books and found it so time consuming, but worth it if I could just stay at it. I can't wait to hear how you like the final product.
I keep looking at the site, but haven't gotten around to actually having a book made yet. One of these days I may. Can't wait to hear about your thoughts when you get the book.
Sounds like a nice prize and a great way to keep memories.
