If you are visiting the Tampa Bay area I highly recommend a visit to this FREE - yes, free - Botanical Garden in Largo, FL. This post is part four in a my mini-series on the Florida Botanical Gardens.
If you missed any posts in this series

ENJOY THE TOUR!
Hope you lathered up with sun screen, brought your water bottle and thought about wearing comfy shoes ...

Entering the courtyard ...
Fountain
None of the fountains were running due to our water shortage and
water conservation efforts here in Florida.

Inside the courtyard

We sat on this bench watching a Comoran (bird) fluffing his feathers
overlooking one of the Eco ponds.

There is no shortage of benches and chairs to rest your weary feet and
enjoy the view!

On the way to the PALM GARDEN

I took a thousand pictures of the beautiful, tropical
BIRD OF PARADISE

We stopped and watched a turtle swimming under water at this spot.
Sorry:), for the turtle, Comoran (bird) and more snowy white Egret shots you'll have to drop by my next post.
If you look really close you can see the ripples in the water created by the turtle.

Strolling right along

These ladies enjoyed their shady spot under the gazebo ...

My kind of alligator:) - purely ornamental:)

I really admired the beautiful mosaic artwork all over the gardens.
Beauty and function in one.

Close ups of the mosaic work

Wondrous plants and exotic flowers

I'm glad this one had a tag:)

No:) - we didn't sit on this bench, but around the bend on an identical bench so I could prop up my feet and take this last shot along our tropical garden walk.

Wonderful photo essay. Thank you for sharing.
You are so very talented. I wish I was that talented.
This post is spotlighted on the Today On Gather
post.
Congratulations!
Rose, this is a wonderful place and you made a great photo essay.
Thank you for sharing something I might otherwise have never seen! This place looks amazing. I could probably spend an entire day somewhere like this. It's so nice that they open a place like this to the public for free. So many places want you to pay outrageous amounts of money so we end up missing out on a lot of really neat things. I wish we had a place like this nearby to visit. We don't have any gardens like this nearby.
Wow, look at the number of views you have on this post!
It's been creeping up at a steady pace since I posted it. I wish I knew what triggered me getting into this feed - I'd love to repeat it!
I was just about to say the same thing as Priscilla~ WOW~
I have one more essay that I'd like to add to this little mini series - if I ever get 'round to it:)
