PACIFIC AND SEAWEED

The Pacific Ocean has an energy that is very different from the Gulf of Mexico. Come take a walk with me on a beach by Half Moon Bay in California.

The sand is brown and fairly coarse, and the water is quite rough. It is a foggy afternoon with strong winds...

I really enjoyed this! I am quite familiar with seeing both of these two types of seaweed, but don't know what they're called. Was it very cold on this day? It sure looked it! Thanks for the lovely walk on Moon Bay!

Great photographs. I eat seaweed, but not the type shown. I like these types of seaweed: Nori, wakame and kombu.

I live close to this beach and it is beautiful in the winter and summer, when you need inspiration for writing just look out at the ocean. Excellent Tour Cristina.

Just the dose of warmth I needed! I never realized seaweed was so complex in structure or so cool looking.

Awesome photo essay! The seaweed macros were very cool and interesting. I've been to the beach in California but I forget which beach we were at. The water out there is so much choppier and colder than our water here.
