Coming up on the last leg of the cruise, the magnificence of the scenery during the late season resonates in my mind. What a vivid and lasting impression the beauty Mother Nature provides. The activities surrounding the trees, the water and the mountains give a tranquil backdrop to an already adventurous vacation.
At Sea on Day 12 mid-day, we communed to enjoy the Platinum,Diamond and Diamond-Plus Brunch. This gave us all a chance to mingle and share our Alaskan adventures, and see what was in store for San Francisco. It was exciting to get to know all the diverse and interesting members and hear about everyone’s experience.
Day 13, San Francisco was an amazing day! With the

sun out and the temperature up, we walked from Pier 32 to the Fisherman’s Wharf and watch the seals. They were barking, playing and enjoying the sunny afternoon. What a sight! Later in the evening and back onboard, we all gathered for the Sail Away party under the Golden Gate Bridge. I had a chance to enjoy the buffet, the music and the conversation as we sailed towards LA… our final destination.

Day 14 was the last day at Sea, and a chance for everyone to wrap up their last minute onboard cruise purchases, research for the next trip and get in their Visa application. It was a time for me to get all my new friends contact information and snap pictures for my photo album. I also made my Metallic Images Picture Frame with the help of Sue and Kevin, our Crayola instructors onboard. Could this trip have been anybetter?
We finished our trip and what an adventure we’ve had. Looking back on the last few days gives me great joy, but also saddens me to have to say goodbye to all the amazing members I met onboard. For those of you whose information I didn’t get, this site is a great place to keep in touch and I would love to hear from you!
Flying home from LA gave me a chance to reflect of my trip. And I must thank everyone: ship board staff, shore side staff and most importantly members who made the Ultimate Alaskan adventure memorable. I look forward to our next member cruise in February of 2008 from Santos, Brazil to Valparaiso, Chile.
