While looking for something fun to write about on Gather, I came across a story on Krispy donuts. Now, while they're not light, I thought this is better than the late term abortion article I decided not even to read as it would anger my fan club, so I went on past the murders, and GM bankruptcy, and you'll be proud of me, I came upon this:
Krispy Kreme Donuts being sued by Fairfax County, Virginia for gumming up the works with their five years of grease, oil, and waste products. Now, we have to ask ourselves if after five years of waste the pipes are clogged, what are these donuts doing to our waists?

Only ever had ONE of them. There used to be a KK about a half hour from our house and it closed about six months ago.
I never knew you could only eat just one! LOL
Not a big sweet eater I guess and since it was 30 miles away........
I neverf liked the metalic taste of their donuts, so I don't eat them...
I absolutely love them!!! When I lived in Atlanta, there was one four blocks from the house. I would buy a dozen glazed right off the conveyor belt in the morning.
If I lived where there wes one I would eat them all the time. Thank God we don't have any around here
I'm not crazy about them. I count calories and every ounce on my body is from my food. I love my own cooking.

Melanie, I can agree. I won't eat them unless they are hand made and not on a machine, then from a good place that knows what they are doing.
I actually prefer pastries over donuts though.
