First US Face Transplant Successful

I didn't want to upload the pictures of this sweet woman's face, as the first US face transplant, but it's so interesting, and yet so traumatic.  She had the middle section of her face blown off by a gun, and now, she has a face.  Here's a link to the 8 pictures that show her now, during surgery, and after.  It's interesting, and I pray for her mental well being.

Wow. I am amazed and so happy for her. At least she can lead a more normal life now and not be stared at by rude people.

Amazing modern medicine! I saw this on the news earlier. I'm sure she will still have more surgeries to go through... but this is a major step!

I saw this on the news. Her ex-husband has a 7 year sentence for shooting her in the face 5 years ago. What a wonderful miracle. So many others suffer and could use this procedure.
