I have a new video for you today where I take Sarah through an intense medicine ball abs exercise!
In the video I demonstrate how to trim, tone, and tighten your waist with this one move thatʼs sure to pull your stomach muscles in tight.
To complete the medicine ball oblique twists you want to follow these 5 easy steps:
- Sit down on the floor holding a medicine ball in front of your chest
- Slowly lift your feet off the floor so that only your hips are touching
- Stay looking straight ahead and begin to rotate your arms side to side with the ball
- After you twist your arms side to side press the ball over head and then bring it back into your chest
- Repeat that sequence of rotating your arms and pressing for as many times as you can with good form
The best time to use this great abs exercise is directly after you finish your resistance training program or as the 3rd exercise in a tri-set (3 exercises done without rest). For example you might do a chest press, lunge and then this medicine ball oblique twist.
One last point is that if you are just starting out on the road to transforming your body you may want to keep your feet down on the ground the whole set until you feel comfortable lifting them up. This will allow you to get the form down and play it safe the first few times you try it.
Enjoy the new medicine ball ab exercise and Iʼll be back each week bringing you a brand new exercise to watch and follow along with!
