If I Fly

If I fly
Will you fly with me

If my feet lift off the ground
And I rise to the clouds
Will you take my hand
And scale the lofty heights at my side

We will climb
Through wispy strands of silken mist
Into the expanse above this world

Into the realm of dreams and fantasies
The place where eagles soar
And rainbows await the command
To spread their favour across the anxious land

We raise our faces to the blue sky
Gazing into the infinite heavens
Beyond this earth bound reach

Our souls stretch skyward in exhilaration
And we ascend to the mountains of cloud
To the place where tears and sorrow
Are washed away by thunders gentle song
Amidst the blankets of rain

If I fly
Will you take my hand
And swim with me in the light of the sun
In it's fiery embrace that rekindles peace
That purges darkness
And tempers the fears of this world

Take my hand
And we will fly
