To the one who is my love
©2006, Basil Sands
Though up the mountains height I climb
No pool of water could I find
That reflects the sparkling sunshine
As the eyes of my love
In no oceans mist there be
The calm caress of true beauty
As pure the touch reserved for me
At the fingers of my love
The moon its light
Upon me bright
Shows the way in darkest night
But dims itself upon the sight
Of the beauty of my love
Her smile wide
Her sparkling eyes
Her silken skin
Arms open wide
All that there is
And ever will be
There is none here I can see
Who compares in fair beauty
To the one who is my love
