Adventures in Cubicle Land

Tick, tick, tick
The droll day drags on
Piles of paper to be moved from this side to that
Signatures to be appended to documents to be stapled to packets to be bound in book format
Monday, Tuesday, etc, etc
Till the weekend comes and we rest to gather energy
For more paper, staples, and bindings
How much of this can a human take?
Well it depends on your way of looking at it
If you have learned to escape the bounds of your cubicle and take flight
Take flight and join the office party in the sky, fly out through the fire escape or the windows
Bring your coffee mug and a box of crayons
We will paint the power point sky with the colors of the dawn, for the mid-day roundtable meeting
We will sing the songs of ancient Irish Pixies as we fly among the trees of the window ledge forests looking for the sacred file cabinet
Take up the challenge to rescue helpless peasants from the fire breath of the office dragons
Raise the mighty pen to draft the Royal Decree of Memo, which becomes the law of the Persians and the Medes and the Cubicles
Tick, Tick, Tick
You see, working in an office isn't so bad
It all depends on your perspective
