-Disqualified From Theme: I original had these three on the list but decided to "disqualify" them.
Mikey D-He had an album as the new mc in Main Source. Most anyone who likes that album will tell yuout that the best way to listen to it is as a Mikey D album produced by K Kut and Sir Scratch. If you think of it as a Main Source album it just doesn't seem right. In any event, with this album and a fair string of singles and and appearances he had a pretty nice career.
QBC-The main point of focus on this crew is MC, Bryce Luv. The group had two singles of which wer produced by Mantronik (or self produced). Byrce then went on to be the lead MC in Mantronix and his Dj from QBC, Rev Rock came along too it was essential Q.B.C morphing into Mantronix to make up for MC Tee leaving the group. There's two Mantronix albums with that line up and then Byrce went on to form another successful venture, Groove Theory (which he produced). Rumor has it Rev Rock did his thing on the production tip in the realm of r&b as well.
The RZA-couldn't decide if I should include him or not. He only had one single on Tommy Boy as Prine Rakeem, but the RZA is just an extension of the name Rakeem or a variation I should say and he's done plenty albums and work so I left him off...
Here's the Mikey D & Q.B.C discography's anyway:
Mikey D & LA Posse (Mikey D did album as Main Source for 2ndLP)

Oh yeah, I only covered '86-'92 in order to be more focused. In a couple months I'll do the remaining years going from '93 until probably '00. I figure anyone after that time period had all the tools with the internest and myspace and what not to put music out forever so no excuses...ha.
As for '79-'85, that time period was single dominated no one was really doing albums. Most people who were have factors that are a different dynamic. Artists like Kurtis Blow, Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Sequence, etcc... who were doing albums generally only had one or two "rap songs" and the rest of the album was more r&b funk. Some of which worked, most of which I would say didn't....ha. Then other artists started to make albums like Crash Crew and Treacherous 3 but it was just a collection of their singles from the last 4-5 years. The hip hop album really gets defined starting with Run-Dmc's debut I would say. For this era, I'm working a list of artists who had limited careers in the singles realm...haven't decided f i will be artists who just only had one single or if I'll include artists who just had two singles as well. I figure in that 6 year span, 3 or more singles would be a career in the crazy world of rap :)
That's it good people. Please feel free to send in your comments, corrections, additions and general feedback.
