Hello good people. Welcome to the "Redefinition Radio" Gather.com Page!!
For those new or even unfamiliar with Redefinition Radio allow me to get you up to date. On 3-19-05 we came into existence as 89.3 The Current's Hip Hop program and first specialty show. Since then I've been focused and dedicated to finding interesting and engaging ways to keep my vision and passion intertwined with Redefinition Radio's mission.
Redefinition Radio is a "concept radio show". The broad concept is to best explore the complete variety of Hip Hop by including as many styles, locations, eras, perspectives, sounds, and cultural backgrounds that are available. My approach to Hip Hop has long been one part entertainment and one part education. I don't just like to play you the songs. I love to take it further and talk to you about the history of the songs, artists, time periods and the other surrounding relevant aspects. Yes, I paint a dramatic picture…ha! Well, that's what you can expect when you listen to the show and venture back to this page; in depth looks at Hip Hop and the things that inspired it as well as those things that it continues to inspire. All that neatly packaged with my passion for research and topped with my off beat sense of humor and what I like to consider "witty banter"…
I'll update the page weekly on Mondays at the same time the previous weeks show is posted on the Redefinition Radio page. Expect to find all sorts of lil' treats and tid bits of information ranging from the trivial to the critical but "always" interesting. Hope to see you there!
