We are delighted to announce the finalists in our Book It to Bermuda Book Review Contest! Entrants submitted a book review, and the Gather community read and voted on each entry, narrowing the pool down to our final picks. The finalists' book reviews are now en route to our guest judge, public radio arts reporter, Marianne Combs, who will choose the Grand Prize winner.
The Grand Prize Winner and a guest will embark on the Gather.com Book It to Bermuda literary cruise on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas, where they will meet and interact with top-selling authors, literary agents, and other industry experts in one-of-a-kind discussions and receptions.
And without further ado, the finalists are:
- Diana Raabe The Scent of God
- Birdie J. The Night the Book Ate My Life
- Linda Douglas Encountering the Dharma
- Serena Matteson Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral
- Carolee E. Evangeline Brown and the Cadillac Motel
- Kevin Weeks Spanish
- Nancy C. At Peace in the Light
- Rochelle Moore Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
- Paul G. Hiroshima
Check back on Monday, October 9 for the grand prize winner! Until then, enjoy the great book reviews -- perhaps you'll find something to take your summer reading into fall!
