THE MEASURE OF THE YEAR: SINGING THROUGH THE SEASONS was released Oct. 2007

It's a music book, with artwork, essays, and more: the first in a series.

"THE MEASURE OF THE YEAR: SINGING THROUGH THE SEASONS"

This book grew our of our concert series "The Measure of the Year"
which we've been performing throughout the United States
for over two decades.

So what's in it?

Well, "The Measure of the Year: Singing Through the Seasons,"
features original ritual music to celebrate
the Wheel of the Traditional and Celtic Year.

Jim wrote the music, Maggi the lyrics.

There's a song for each of the major traditional seasonal holidays of the year,
plus the title song and a song for New Year celebrations.

We also enriched it with historical information and folklore,
for use in any kind of seasonal celebration
regardless of denomination or spiritual path.

However, we have an emphasis on nature and Pagan spirituality,
and a focus on Celtic traditions.

There's some artwork and calligraphy from Maggi's studio, also.

If you are a choir director or member of a singing group,
you can order choral arrangements from us too.

(We knew all those years of working in the choral field would pay off
--not to mention Jim is a professor at The Boston Conservatory
and does arrangements/teaches this stuff all day long!).

A companion CD will be issued in Spring 2008.
