Another friend of mine gave me this recipe many years ago. I like cabbage and this is a different way of eating it. When you first get this recipe mixed together, it doesn't look to good but trust me, if you like cabbage, you will like this one.
You may have to use your judgement on this as I don't use measurements. I just throw it all together. It is not easy to mess this one up.
I usually buy a big head of cabbage, boil it until limp. Drain and place in a good size casserole dish.
Tear up about a pound of thin deli ham, and add to casserole dish.
I usually use a sleeve of white crackers, saltines, finely crushed up and add to casserole.
Two cans of cream of mushroom soup, with about a half can of milk , just to thin the cream of mushroom soup out a bit. You don't want the soup to be to runny. Mix in with the cabbage, ham, crackers.
Top the casserole with thin slices of Velveeta cheese.
I don't cover my dish. But you can, it depends on how brown you want your cheese to get.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20-30 mins. you just want to heat up the soup and melt the cheese.
Enjoy!!!
