Hopefully, this upgrade will go as well as the last several, which were basically flawless.  I know that many will appreciate the Associated Press inclusion, but I have found them to be relatively unreliable, even though I worked for them a while back and am still a member of the AP Broadcaster's Association.

Reuters, Agence France Presse, or even the BBC would have more coverage that can be counted on.

Thanks for your input, Walker.  This is an exciting trial for us and we will be considering other news sources depending on how the AP content does on the site.

I agree with Walker, MaryAnne.  I suggest the Washington Post, New York Times, BBC and Reuters as alternatives.

 We get a lot of AP content already, MaryAnne, via way of people posting links...but this way might be much better, then one could start aREAL conversation over current news.

As a night owl, I am going to have to delay uploading a couple of photo albums.  However, after having spent over 40 years in IT, I know the value of planning, testing, validation and having alternative plans - all to provide potential backout (or go forward) decisions - along with choosing the best time of day to perform the upgrade.

Thanks for the heads-up. Really helpful, and cuts down on the consternation of the users. Like Jeff K. stated, if someone missed the notice, they either were not awake, or tried to log in during the blackout hours after being away for a while....
