We are excited to hear your feedback regarding the latest upgrade to Gather. This upgrade brought minor feature changes to the site and fixed some bugs.
The improvements:
· View additional notifications in Friend Updates and My Activities
· Justify text when sharing posts
· Rotate photos after you upload them
· Several bugs were resolved

Just makes Gather better:)
I'm more interested in the bug fixes. What were they?
Some of the bugs fixed that were more noticeable were:
- fixed the bug that was causing some members to have very slow response time when opening and viewing their mail
- when a post was edited the groups the post was previously published to were lost and had to be specified again.
-when a post was edited to add a photo the photo didn't always save.
-an image publishing bug using Safari was fixed
-squished images in carousels were fixed
- the geotag map didn't close properly in IE
And various other items.
Text alignment/justification in the post editor is paragraph based. Thus, the format option you select impacts all text in the paragraph.
You can choose different alignment options within the same post, but each set of text you want to display differently must be in a separate paragraph.
And, I understand why Gather would want that.
But, it limits us way too much, I think.
I don't like that new feature.
Limiting pings - don't like that either. It is a way of communicating on Gather but guess that's not important.
Lots of people look forward to pings,we get no points but it's a great way to stay in touch.
Please put them back the way they were.
There are limits in place for the frequency of pings. The intent is to stop ping spam, which has affected so many members. We have closed hundreds of what we call "spinger" accounts in the last few weeks alone. These are accounts that are set up with the sole purpose of leaving commercial pings on as many profile pages as they can before they are discovered and closed. Spam is something we need to be very vigilant about as it is a disruption to site enjoyment.
We don't want to curtail our real members from enjoying the ping feature. It is fun and a nice way to leave someone a quick note. We have written the code for this feature to give us flexibility to make adjustments if it's proving to be too much of an impediment. Please contact the support team and provide us with direct feedback if you are being hindered too much. We’ll be making adjustments to this feature until we find the correct balance that keeps Gather free of ping spam and doesn’t spoil your ping fun.
Have you published this post/article? It is possible that your entire post is one long paragraph. It may appear to have paragraph breaks, but in reality they aren't. If you can point me in the direction of a recent post, I might be able to figure out what's going on.
I am glad that our mail can be acessed easier, and not have to wait like I still have dial-up. So thats a plus.
MY rating button has not worked since the upgrade. ANd now it is taking me a very long time to look at a photo in my albums, the wait time has increased ten fold since the upgrade. The slowness moved from email to photos in albums
