On Tuesday, Gather will close our offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Boston, Massachusetts until noon to offer our team the opportunity to vote.
With long delays projected at the polls, particularly in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, we want to ensure that everyone working at Gather has an opportunity to participate in this historic election. We did not want anyone to feel like they might have to leave long poll lines to show-up on time for a morning meeting.
We encourage all of our members who are American citizens to vote as well. We are grateful that so many Americans have shared their perspective on the election here on Gather. The future of our democracy depends on the open exchange of ideas that has taken place here over the past year and on the votes cast by every American.
The Gather site will not be affected by this schedule change. We will adjust staffing for key operations and member services functions during these hours.

I LOVE voting... I'm really excited about tomorrow.
I think anyone who is registered to vote should be allowed off to do so.
This will be my first time voting in a presidential election since moving into Boston. I'm used to the lines of little Southborough, so I'm sure I'm in for a much different voting experience here.
I hope other companies offer this flexibility to encourage more workers to show up to the polls.
I will be helping where I can.
I will use my own vehicle and gas to drive those in need of a ride to the polls.
Even in the red state of Idaho, Obama gives us hope and we are energized.
That's very kind of you.
I plan to vote, I'll work my 9 hrs at the office, rush home to take care of the dog and then go back out to do my American civic duty (with bells on!!) It's going to be raining and I'm hoping there won't be long lines, keep your fingers crossed for moi!!
For the first time, Illinois has early voting this year, and I voted the week before last. Last week, even the early voting was encountering long lines.
Palms together, bowing... Namaste.
