First I apologize if this content is found elsewhere, but I am exhausted searching trying to find it. I know that gather members will be quick and great about letting me know and pointing me in the right direction if so!
I did find some tips but did not necessarily apply to me because I have dial up and manouvering the site can be time consuming and not that easy which is part of some of the issues stated here:
1) I notice if you click on a gather members photo you can see it and then get the option to view all their photos, once you do that and click on another photo you get the previous / next option at top. ---why don't we have this option with member's articles? I think it would be much easier to go through them if we did. As it is I look at one, review, comment, post, then I have to click back on Articles or somewhere or go back a few times to get back to their list.
2) Suggestion: if we could have the ability to sort articles by subject matter on the page or something--I know this probably isn't the easiest to program in with the layout, but even if it was alphabetical or something -- I did like the one members suggestion of using groups as folders, but still seems too broad. The tip on showing more than one article on a page might help with this one, might not...
3) this falls in line with 2 - I think it would be great if our "groups" were listed alpha or sorted by content (tags maybe) on the page where we publish (Publish to these groups) and you have to visually sort through all the many groups you may have so you post correctly.
3.5) As I was trying to find related info to help me I did a tag search on "gather" and I was repeatedly prompted to sign in...I am thinking this may be due to the huge number of items associated with this tag?
4) If I find a person I want to connect with or a group I want to join, I am taken out of my current article or page and then prompted to click and send - whatever to join - and then I am sent to that person or groups main page...I would like an option to go back to the last page I was on...or some other quicker way to do this...

2) There is the ability to sort member articles in the listing by 'Highest Rated, Most Discussed, etc", via the drop-down box located on the right-hand side. However, it occasionally doesn't work well. I prefer to use tags when searching for specific content, or using the article search function at the top of any page. However, you cannot easily narrow this search down to one particular member.
3) This is a very common complaint. Gather is supposed to be reworking the Gather Group search and display process, as well as how groups appear when publishing.
3.5) There is a programming error that prevents you from displaying the 'tag page' for the word gather. Try using the article search, and entering the search phrase tag:gather ---however, there are so many articles using the tag of 'gather' inappropriately, that the results may not be what you expect.
4) Again,try the Backspace key (you may need to hit it more than once). This key can be very instrumental in navigating on Gather.

And I will never understand why there is no ability to scroll on Gather. EX: I want to see if there was any feedback on a comment I made last week on someone else's article. I have to load page after page after page of my comments to find it. I usually give up. Why in the world can we not scroll through our comments? Or our articles?

2) I was thinking you could add to the drop down on this one - alphabetical or by tag, I just thought of a new one - especially when looking at your own articles - sorting by recently commented on - I am usually going through my articles to see what has gotten feedback recently and to read it...I like getting emails telling me they have been commented on, but by the time I go through those I leave them behind and don't really use them as a tool to search for things.
3.5) I should have been more specific-but I think it came out right, I was looking for groups on gather but I still think I was doing a tag search. Thanks for the tip on this.
Goddess Nancy - you are speaking of scrolling like we open up the page of our comments and then instead of having so many articles on a page and having to go to the next one, we would be able to scroll down through them all? Sounds like a cool idea...
One other tip that Kevin had put out on gather for people is the ability to display alot more articles and such per page you might check that out...I think in gather tips & tricks
