Paths That Cross
Growth is obvious in flower beds
And buds of bush and trees.
Spring, with life just beginning
All over the land.
A beautiful spirit sleeps silently
A flower in a nursing home bed.
Spring, with a grand life diminishing
On the other side of the window
A thick and tall blanket of green grass grows.
God's beautiful nursing home flower
Struggles for a blanket
With shaky hands
And dogged determination
Frail and dignified, worn.
Resting peacefully in dreams
Suddenly she reaches out
For something we can't see
And she can't grab hold of
Except in dream.
Love of her life, Larry
Arms open, smiling down on his girl
Reach out Peg, Reach out
For Larry's been waiting patiently
And you have always held
A glimpse of him in the twinkle
Of mind's eye, heartfelt
Smile, dream
Reach out for each other.
Hopes held
Hold hope together
Faith fulfilled
Love lost, far too early
Love soon to be found
In soul spirit
And dreams
For
Paths that cross
Can cross again
Flowers that blossom, grow,
And fade with the seasons
Can flower again
For
Hope, Faith and Love
Spring eternal
In God's garden.

This is just so pretty, and sad with a smile.

I loved those lines. This was just beautiful and I could see Peg and see her wonderful spirit too. Thanks. I'm going to feature this on the Preserve the History and the Memories group page.
