Microsoft hopes the wireless sharing of songs is the killer feature that will help its new Zune player make a dent in the iPod's crown. The trick will be selling enough Zunes so that users will actually have friends and family to share with. CNET News.com reporter Ina Fried has been living with a Zune for a couple of weeks. Recently, she decided to walk around San Francisco looking for another Zune owner. It took her a long time.

I have a zune and love it. I believe that the zune will do well but it is going to take time to pierce the ipod market. everyone I have shown it to loves it and my friends with ipods like my zune better. problem is it is expensive to switch but the built in FM radio, wireless feature and larger screen are extremely appealing. I am a zune owner but as it gets going I believe it will have more to offer than ipod. There are always glitches i the beginning with microsoft new products but they usually end up taking huge market share. We wll see but everyone said macintosh was superior to windows and we all know how that turned out.
