NO ELECTRIC OR WATER. HELP!!!!

Folks, I am here in eastern Oklahoma with no electric or water since January 27th, the day of the infamous ice storm. I am fortunate where I can get water for my toilet from a pond and I have a wood burning stove, no home should be without the WB stove, it is a God sent! I was keen/lucky enough to think and catch the melting ice last Wednesday from the roof in a giant feed container for washing my dishes. This is a huge wake-up call on how we are so unprepared and dependent on our utilities. What would people do if, say a city lost water and electric for a extended period of time? I fear there would be mass chaos and unfortunately suicide as we seen with Katrina. I fear this is just the beginning as I stated in my dream where God lifted his veil of protection; see "It Has Begun". As soon as I get through this I want to tell you about and event I had with God just before the storm hit but ill need some time to recover before writing. This has been truly an ordeal for me! I just started back to University after 35 years of play at the age of 50. I am working part time and barely getting by. But I must tell everyone that since I gave myself up to God and asked him for help everything seems to work out. As some might say, its like magic but in truth its the Holy Spirit at work in the creation with one of his lost sheep just seeking a way home.

I have my own water well, plus I live by the river. I do want to get the woodburning stovve, though. I do have a small fireplace, but I'd prefer the stove for cooking on.

I think as things get worse, the Amish are going to go from being a novel cuiosity to a real Godsend. They know how to function in conditions as you've discribed.

Remember, with a conventional water well you need electricity to power the pump!

John ~ This is NOW FEATURED in PROPHETIC PULSE ~ A Paradigm Shift . . . This is indeed a WAKE~UP call for many people, as WE have got to learn how to be GRATEFUL and to stop whining and complaining about every little thing.

WE need to always be PREPARED ~ but NOT FEARFUL.

Yes John, I've been thinking along those lines myself for many years. When I lived in NC,My husband moved us into his great aunts place in the 'holler' to caretake the property because she was alone & elderly & couldn't do it anymore. A 'holler' is a valley type 'hollow' place between mtns. Anyway......I had to learn to cook on a woodburning stove, we had an outhouse , I had to heat water for bathing & we took our baths in an oblong metal tub that i brought into the kitchen & hung blankets for privacy.We had gravity water to the house so at least I didn't have to carry it from the river. We had a Buck Stove in the living room & I washed clothes on a wringer washing machine........Ahhhhhhhh , those were the days. Though I balked a lot at first, after I learned the ropes I was very happy with my life & verrry close to God in that setting. Most of us can adapt when we have to I think......I'm not as prepared now as then , but would love to be. The food cooked on a woodburning stove is (in my opinion) the best I ever prepared or ate, ESPECIALLY THE BISCUITS, LOL.Thx for this post , I really enjoyed it. God's blessing's to you John

I lived in Mulberry, Arkansas from 1964 - 1968. I remember doing that almost every winter.
I had to haul my water up the hill from a spring in the cow pasture.

I too had a wood burning stove.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I can imagine what your going through. A couple of years ago (i think it was actually for or five years ago) there was a awful ice sto9rm people were with out power for up to twelve days. we didn't have power for a little over a week. I hope that your reliance on god gets you through this time.
