A Lover's Gaze

I lie under your arm, gazing into your sweet, brown eyes. Your lips move into a slight smile, intoxicated with your sleepy demeanor. Your warm fingers lightly graze my naked back, making a pleasurable sensation throughout my body. I let out a sudden yawn and snuggle tighter into your arms. Your body, always warm, makes for a comfortable temperature against mine. I put my hands in your sleek, black hair and run each finger past strand after strand. Your lips look so gentle that I beg for a taste, but my body is too weak to make the move. My legs tremble from weakness. Normally, I can't relax enough to sleep, but when I'm with you, I can. My eyes are connected with yours, when they finally are conquered by my heavy eyelids. I hold you close to me, protecting you as much as I can, and you do the same for me. Tonight has been perfect, a God-given blessing, a night for just you and me.
