I was driving Mimi to the hospital to have a chest x-ray. As she is profoundly deaf such journeys are perforce mostly silent affairs. We drove through the countryside, green fields with a hint of Spring, edged by trees, stark and spindly and winter-weary. I was pondering such things when a voice beside me said "Look at it, all that space and there's only one Moya". Mimi has the art of making one smile.
When we got to the hospital, having helped her undress and into the gown. she looked down and said "I've come to do the washing -up have I? Were I deaf, practically blind, bewildered, not knowing where I lived or why I've been taken away from there, I can't help thinking that I would not make jokes. Mimi is made of sterner stuff and the world is a better place.

It must be mental telepathy, as I was just thinking of you today and wondering how you were. That is a very profound observation your Mimi has made, and so true. Have a beautiful, blessed day. You and Mimi are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks Tonia and Kathryn.
Thank you for your prayers Karen. Moya
Long time no see, my friend, and for that I apologize. Lovely story about a lovely lady. You know how I love my old folks...
