Finding My Dreams

I heard a saying just last month that among all ignored sayings changed my life. So I would like to share that saying with you... God will give a bird all the food it needs to live and be happy, but he will not put it in the nest. I milled it over in my whirlwind of a mind and watched it toss and turn like a lost red sock in the laundrymat washing machine. Next thing you know, every other thought turned red. All of my dreams and aspirations were there. I could see them tumbling and turning. And I realized I was like the bird. Everything I ever wanted wasn't waiting for me on my doorstep. God doesn't ship Fed Ex. I had to go on an adventure. Since then, I have been on a scavenger hunt, hunting for what I truely wanted deep down in my heart and what actions I could take to get there. Then when I was contented to continue a terrible thing happened. I froze. What if it was the wrong path? What if I messed up and got lost? Then I heard another saying as if God was dropping inspiration in the wind and through radio and cable TV. Courage isnt the absence of fear. Courage is recognizing that something is more important to you than your fear. So I grabbed my bags and headed down any path I though would take me to my first goal. Wouldnt you know it that I didnt even get a mile away when I ran right into what I had been dreaming of obtaining for three years now. Funny isnt it? The food wasnt even that far from my nest. Now Im grabbing my bags again and searching for the next thing I have been wanting. Funny thing is... I can see it down the road already.
