I have always been fascinated by dreams. I have a very vivid imagination and my dreams reflect that. My favorite part of dreaming is that I can fly anytime I want to. I just jump in the air and take off. You wouldn't believe the feeling of freedom that gives me. Sometimes I get caught in the damn telephone wires, but once I get past them I can soar as high as I want.
Sometimes I become aware that I'm dreaming and then I can control what happens, where I am, and who I'm with. Those are always awesome dreams. Iv'e met some of the most fascinating people. Albert Einstein is one of my favorites, but I can never remember what he said to me when I wake up.
I have several reccurring dreams, some Iv'e been having all my life. The one I like best I have only been having for a couple of years. I'm sitting in my living room with Johnny Depp. We are having a really great conversation that goes on all night. A few times I was overcome with the need to kiss him, but the second I touched him he would disappear. I learned pretty quick to just enjoy his company and keep my hands to myself.
I am curious to know about other peoples dreams. Iv'e tried talking to my friends and family about them, but they just look at me like I'm crazy. Maybe you can answer some of my questions that I have been wondering about for years.
Do you remember you're dreams?
Do you Fly?
Do you have recurring dreams?
Do you ever become conscious of the fact that you are dreaming?
Do you have commercials in you're dreams?
Do you smoke in you're dreams?

I am alway meeting a lovely woman, I believe my soul mate or someone who is trying to contact me or who is having the same dream. She is alway being chased by someone or animal, I join up with her and we are alway looking for ways to get away. Many years ago I used to dream about Grizzly bears and when I did someone in the family would dies---very scare dream being chased by bears.
I wish I know more about what dreams mean or if they mean anything at all, I know I love to dream because I feel so good when I am in my dreams.
I hope you can make some sense out of this---like dreams pretty screwed up.
My last dream I remember I was at a cocktail party, and Mickey Mantle was trying to borrow my yacht because this model "ain't never done it on a boat, and she WANTS TO!" I let him use the boat.
Michael, that sounds really cool. Iv'e never had levitation dreams.
I don't have recurring dreams, per se, but I do have a recurring theme. I may only dream it every few years. I'm usually in my house and it's larger than I was ever aware of before. I find new rooms that I need to do something with and there's always an element of fear involved. Some kind of haunting or evil presence. I'm always grateful to wake up from this dream.
Sometimes I'm aware I'm dreaming and that usually wakes me up. I've never had commercials, but I think that's a way cool concept. I don't ever remember smoking, but I probably have, especially during one of my many attempts at quitting.
So far it seems like I'm the only one who smokes in my dreams, or has commercials. Oh well, Mama always told me I was special. LOL!!
Yes, I fly. I kind of soar, I don't have to flap my arms. The harder I try, the more I can't do it. I just have to relax and then it works (like so many other things in life).
No recurring dreams.
Lucid dreaming: I went through a period of that about 20 years ago by consciously affirming that I would be lucid in my dreams before I went to sleep (I have done the same thing with my flying dreams). I occasionally experience lucid dreaming now, but not regularly.
No commercials.
I have dreamed about smoking, but only after I quit smoking, very infrequently. When I awoke I would be filled with despair that I had blown it and had had a cigarette.
1) Being trapped in a virtual reality game
2) Being a WWI soldier
3) Being back at college looking for my best friend and unable to find him
4) Being at an airport about to board a long international flight and unable to find any Dramamine
5) Driving a car with unreliable brakes
I'm aware that I'm dreaming about half the time.
No commercials
No smoking
I wonder if I'm the only one who regularly smokes in their dreams.
Do you Fly? Sometimes...sometimes I can't achieve "lift off" because I am too aware that it is a dream and instead I end up with those "Seven League Boots" kinda steps where you take one huge leap into the air and travel a distance as if it were one flying step lol
Do you have recurring dreams? Sometimes. It depends on what kind of dream it is. I can have recurring stress dreams, which are endlessly annoying. I can have dreams about a situation that hasn't happened yet and those dreams will play, stop, rewind and then replay the same scene playing out different variables. Interesting, tiring but thankfully rare.
Do you ever become conscious of the fact that you are dreaming? Yes. This is called Lucid dreaming and you can read quite a lot on the topic.
Do you have commercials in you're dreams? Sometimes a commercial will come on over a radio or tv in my dream, but I do the same thing I do in waking life...change the channel or ignore it lol.
Do you smoke in you're dreams? I quit smoking over three years ago. In the past year I have been under extreme stress and have had several dreams where I "wake up" to see me smoking in my dream. A second me always appears and begins to berate the smoking me! The first time this happened I woke myself up laughing!
Dreams are truly amazing things. They can reveal more about our selves and our world to us than our waking perceptions...which we argue with any way lol.
Wishing You Laughter~Entwife
I just thought of another question. Do you ever see and talk to people you know that are deceased?
