The wisteria is a deep purple
jolting a memory
of a deep purple deception
the lover who did not love
the deep purple flowers
given to exact regrets
taken not to extract revenge
deep purple thoughts
that haunt a sleep

that deep purple feeling
that does not heal.

Even the healed wounds itch occasionally Faith. Good stuff!
Think I'll take an iced coffee, a bit hot yet here.
the wisteria (if we are talking about the same plant),
looking so beautiful on the wooden pergola,
given the right circumstance
can pull the trellis down.

Carol, yes....
Pearl, mine are sort of in a half bloom stage, but still pretty. Thanks for reading, all.

I just wish I could get that Deep Purple heavy metal ear worm you deeply invoked out of my head, where it is playing loudly, Duh duh duh, duh duh duh duh......
Synaesthesia--ain't it a pain at times?
Loved it.
Cat, thanks, it's a jolt to the backlife to see or hear something that brings us to our senses, so to speak.
Thanks.
Did someone mention purple? That color and I go waaaaaay back and even today, I paint with it in portraits of two. I really enjoyed this piece, as it so closely touches me.
David, purple seems to bring it out in us, eh? Thank you, also, for your kind comment.
never heard of wisteria
