Anyone in the Denver area have good pictures to share? I ran an image search for the tag DNC but would like to see more of the area.
On the MPR Web siteI'm pretty much camping out on our DNC coverage collection. But... what is out there?

If I ran the zoo, I would limit spending for everyone and provide fair and equal time for message access with pre-set debate/speech slots, no television or radio commercials which are nothing but negative disinformation, etc. Swiftboating would be illegal. See how many Republicans sign up for that one.

"If I ran the zoo [...]" it really is a carnival, isn't it Julia Star? I've seen discussions about limiting campaign spending and even the schedule, but has an actual movement group gained ground?
Everyone could contribute as much as they wanted to who ever they wanted.
But.......... to accept that money you would have to fully disclose who gave you the check.
A. You get a check
B. You have wait one week to cash that check.
C. You have to list all donors over $100 on a federally approved website with address, website, and board of directors if a corporatation, union, PAC, or organization.
D After that one week, you can cash it.
I'm not naive. I don't think you can take money out of politics. I just want to know who's buying who?
Do you think that having the Democrats go first with their convention and showing how Denver handled their convention make ours go smoother or look better? Will the media treat the Republican Convention with a more critical eye?
A more critical eye? I can't answer that. Too many factors, and I suspect people will gauge it against their own yardsticks. I do know we plan to cover the local story.
Think MSNBC will have a critical eye? Keith Oberman will have a field day ripping Republicans. CNN will be more subtle in their critical eye.
Then start mixing your Kool-Aid and put your purple jogging suit on! Thursday is Messiah night! Don't wear out your knees genuflecting!
Start from the Start: Iraq, please don't forget Abu Ghraib. Talk about Gantanamo. Talk about the economy. Talk about the jobs gone. Talk about average income going down the drain. Talk about families. Talk about Americans not having kids anymore because they can't afford it (sensus numbers came last week).

We have 3 days to remind America why this election is so crucial. We've had 4 conventions night where nobody went at Bush (4 nights of Kerry, 1 of Obama). I understand what they were trying to do yesterday. Great. Yesterday is gone. 3 nights to handcuff McCain to Bush and plead our case.
The RNC will mention Obama's name about 200 times on day one. I might have heard Bush's name once last night.

Winston I like your money idea. Of course there is going to be massive amounts of money pouring in to both parties. I don't particularly like the 527s especially with the whacko right wing nuts like the swift boat veterans for lying and injustice.
