I love dancing -- I'm a ballroom dancer, but had the chance to learn and enjoy a lot of different types of dance, from tango to Israeli folk dance. I also love film -- almost all genre, I even wrote film reviews for a magazine for a while. So, let's put film and dance together.
I'm intensely curious about films with great dancing in them that I may have missed. Here are some good ones that I've watched (listing the film first, then the dance you get to see in it, even it's just in one scene or sequence):
Scent of a Woman: Tango
The Tango Lesson: Tango
Tango: Tango (duh)
Il Postino: Tango
OK, I may have taken up all the tango ones. (Have you seen these? They're great!) There are many other films with great ballroom, salsa, ballet, modern dance, etc.
If you can think of one, please list a film with dance worth watching -- even if the dancing takes place in just one scene or if the movie is not that good.

The Dancer Upstairs
The Conformist (Il Conformista)
Yankee Doodle Dandy with James Gagney, any Gene Kelly movie....I love how they used to film them. It was the whole body, so you saw what their legs were doing and not just the face.
