I've attended many workshops and conferences in my life, for both personal and professional reasons, but never this "Men's" Conference that's coming up next month, September 2007, the 23rd Annual Mens Conference:
This began back in 1984 when poet Robert Bly started the Minnesota Men’s Conference, which began shortly after the interview between Keith Thompson and Robert Bly called “What do Men Really Want?"
When I saw this new group here in Gather, JUST FOR MEN, I thought of the conference and thought I'd share the link -- even if you can't attend, checking out the web sites of the speakers could prove very helpful. For example, I love the teachings of Malidoma Somé, a village elder and author with great wisdom on spirituality.
Other presenters and facilitators include Jungian psychoanalyst and consultant Robert Moore, musicians, a martial arts black belt, etc. If you can attend, my advice as someone who's never been to one of Robert Bly's conferences is to go and check it out. I'm working on clearing my schedule to see if I can attend.
If you've been to any such conference, please let us know what your experience was like.
Also, anyone out there from the Oakland Men's Project? I did some work with their materials once and loved their philosophy, but I'm not sure if they're still around.

If you're a woman, please do share if a male in your life has had experiences in such men's conferences, and how you see those events from your perspective.
And yes, Michelle, I'm glad you prefer Women's Conferences with a spirituality focus. ;-)
LOL!
