Oh sure, we’ve talked about the weather but that didn’t seem to help. Lately, even early in the day it is simply too hot. Before dawn, Minnesota’s temperatures are already at the point where I like them for that day’s high!
The last couple of days haven’t ended civilization, although I’ve noticed that people (particularly while driving, we’ve all seen it) are somewhat less civilized to each other. From my perspective it isn’t a scorching heat, even in the city, it just seems to settle slowly and deeply into everything. It inspires slow moving, slow talking, and maybe pulling out some old albums and just giving in to the never-ceasing temperature.
So let’s try something and channel any heat-induced void into elegant structure. This is an open call for Heat Haiku. Why not? I’ll be reading, preferably in air conditioned comfort.
