FANTASY BASEBALL

I'm starting a group here at gather for people that want to discuss their moves and strategies in the world of Fantasy Baseball.

I'm by no means an expert on baseball in general or Fantasy Baseball in particular, but thought a place where we can publish things only to the group might be fun.

I ventured into this world for the first time last year. I had always been reluctant in the past, but found the experience thrilling while it thoroughly brought the baseball season to life.

If you want to join, or think it is a bad idea, let me know.

To join, all you have to do is click on groups and look for "Fantasy Baseball". All are welcome.

Hmmm, my only fantasies about baseball belong on the limericks comments! I am sure it's a great idea for those who follow, though! Good luck with it!

Thanks for the invite stephan. I have to decline because my knowledge of baseball ends with the Dodgers in the late seventies early eighties. Haven't watched baseball in years. I used to love it, but have found other interests more compelling.

Stephen, it is a good idea but I have never even dabbled in it. Perhaps I can learn from you and others. Can't join up now as I don't find eneough time to 'gather' as it is. Play Ball!

I love the idea... and I would be the first to jump into it... but my ex father in law had a fantasy baseball thing going... He had people calling the house, and when he wasnt there they would ask me quesions.. that is when i realized... when it comes to baseball I am beyond dumb...lol Hope you guys have fun.. let me know how it goes.

Stephen, I don't know shit about baseball. But I'm willing to give this thing a try. You make it sound really fun. If I'm too bad or clueless at it you can always kick me out. My feelings won't get hurt.

Okay, I am a huge Varitek fan. Die hard Red Sox (of course) and I am trying to get either my friend Deb or my husband to help me. How do I do this? In true fantasy, my dog would play the outfield!! Ha ha. Really, how do I play?

The next article has info about fantasy sites connected with MLB.com and the Sporting News. There's a wide variety of types of leagues. Some are free and give you a taste. If you've never done it before, the free might be right for you to start. You could always join another league after the season starts once you have gotten your feet wet.
I was hoping some hard core fantasy people would kick in but I guess that's not going to happen
